  1. I've passed that pool on many an occasion, but never fished it. In the distant past I'm sure someone told me it was police water. Do you know who owns it?

I think you might have set your scales to kilos by the way - they only tend to read up to 40oz after being dropped from a large height! 3.4kg is knocking on 7.5lbs, which sounds much better for you.

  5. I might have a look in there at some point - if there's no signs up, it's fair game by my reckoning. Are there any decent sized fish in there?

  7. Previous post was removed because I'm not sure on the scales front. That type (40kg scales) are also supposed to read in lbs and oz. I really don't know how they are working so I removed the earlier post to avoid confusion.

  8. Andrew,

Is this pool local to Bedworth as well? If so could you give me a poniter to where abouts it is?

I wouldnt mind having a go at the pike myself?

    Cheers

  9. Gaza, it's next to the A444 heading from Coventry towards Nuneaton. From the M6 junction 3, go past the Bedworth turn off and the pool is a few hundreds yards down on the left just before the lay by (which is opposite the Newdegate estate).

I had a look today. Nice pool, but there's a breeze block wall with the words "PRIVATE. TRESPASSERS WILL BE PROSECUTED. STOCK POND." painted on it in 1ft high letters.

For that reason I'll give it a miss. It may be a red herring and just an old warning from years gone by.

Hopefully i might see you around Bedworth and the neighbouring ponds / lakes / canals lol.
